Its a MPT mate , Gerber won a contract to supply the US military with it , winning the contract over Leatherman I believe  :o :o :D :D.

It is a bit of a shocker of a MT though a real palm pincher  ::) ::) :D :D :D
One for the collectors I think  ;) :D :D

Thanks,

I thought that might be the case.   For everyday use I prefer Gerber's one-hand slide-out pliers.   This is the only leather sheathed Gerber MT I seen in person.

It might not be up to the standard of current top-tier multitools, but I daresay it'd still be a welcome bit of kit to quite a few.

Both your fan and the the instructions show less tools than others..., is this the case?

The leather case seems to be coated in a water-proof grease/oil that has kept it supple after all this time.

Here is a custom MPT. Leave it to me to buy the only one offered on eBay that I know about.  :rofl:

I have got one of these in the original clampack but it has the nylon sheath.  The leather sheath does look high quality though.
