It's not really worth it is it? Most people cut paper straighter with a sharp blade than with a pair of short scissors anyway.

No, imo it is not. Maybe SOG should have continued the CrossGrip instead...

I ordered the FKMD PPP a few days ago and additionally a Phillips screwdriver, straight blade and V-Cutter. So in about two weeks I will know if the V-Cutter does fit into a PPP.

I am already very excited about the PPP!!

I finally received my FKMD PPP today!

First thing I noticed is, that the handles are a bit offset to each other and one handle is a bit thicker than the other. It doesn´t affect utilisation though. Did any other PPP owner noticed the same on his/hers? I checked my LM ST 300 and Wave and boths handles are offset, too. Seems to be a "construction issue"... What do you think?

The Compound Leverage can really be a pain when using the inner tools. But I am sure it won´t bother me much under normal (light) use. Might be a nice sd impact device!? Opening the tool is heavenly smooth though, very cool!!

I don´t really like serrated blades and chisel grinds so I replaced it with a straight blade. I also bought a Phillips screwdriver but didn´t find the right (and working) place for it yet. And yes, the scissors are terrible. At first they worked okay on paper and cutting band-aids wasn´t easy but possible. But after a few minutes the scissors didn´t open completely anymore, making them even harder to use.

I am not sure if a V-Cutter would fit? I noticed that the V-Cutter is thinner than other tools, so I guess it can´t be easily fitted without creating some blade play.

Although it has some flaws, I really like the (FKMD) PPP. It does not have the most modern design, but it is an "old school" mt and that is cool imo!

Fox Knives Military Division/SOG PPP

To be honest, I wanted to try out some different setups and didn´t get the scissors back in again...

But I didn´t like them anyways and you can never have enough blades.

I also added a Phillips screwdriver which wouldn´t have fitted because of the scissors imo. The Philipps alone outweighs the scissors, so I am totally fine with this setup now.

It is hard to see, but on the last picture you might see the slightly offset handles. What do you think about it?

Other than the missing file/added scissors, the black coating and the FKMD logo, it is the same PPP SOG offers on their website. Since I couldn´t find a black PPP in german webstores anymore, it was worth to me to get this FKMD version.
