Leatherman Freestyle vs Freestyle CX
on: May 22, 2011, 10:32:37 AM
Out of my 14 or 15 Leatherman Multitools, I have been using my Freestyle as my EDC.  Then along came my latest acquisition, the Freestyle CX.  The biggest differences are 1) the CX uses 154CM for the blade, and 2) The CX uses black parts on the handles.
So now I have a new EDC!  The black handles are just a personal preference, but there is a definite advantage in the blade being 154CM.  From what I have read, the 154CM will hold and edge better.  The Freestyle CX is the one on the left.

Same here! :tu: Not only do the CX versions look classier, but I also prefer a plain edge blade. :)
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools
