Some comparison pictures of the supertool 300

I got a new supertool 300 and decided to take some comparison pictures, with the swisstool and other multitools.

My first impression was that it was not as big as I expected. Based on what people write I expected a huuuuge multitool, but the 300 is of a very agreeable size.

I took some pictures comparing it with some other leatherman tools.

The pictures show the 300, the juice and a squirt p4.

There is also a micra in some, since the 300 reminded me of a supersized micra.

I then compared it with another large tool, the swisstool.

Their sizes are quite similar.

The supertool 300 weighs 286.8 grams and the swisstool 287.3, on my scales. How close is that?!

With their leather sheaths the supertool was 345.2 grams and the swisstool 334.6

3. Finally some comparison pictures of the pliers heads, really to show that, even though we say that they are big, they are not bigger than the common pliers we use.

Good to see you are using them regularly.

I doubt I will ever get to use even 10% of what they can actually offer, though I did get the supertool with the intention of using it properly/regularly, so you never know.

I've been considering buying one of the Swisstools for a while but I've yet to handle one. That was a good photo comparison and it helped a lot. I was very surprised at the lack of size difference as I too have seen many people bemoaning the huge size of the ST300s. I edc one myself, so its good to have reassurance that I'm not just some brainless ogre carrying around this oversized hunk of tool junk.... Well, not "just" anyway. I was just as surprised to learn the Surge is a little bigger and heavier as well. I might have to take a ride out to the Victorinox factory that I recently learned is 40 min away from me. I was sure they were all made in Switzerland! You learn something new everyday, if you are listening...
