As for me... never found a username that fit. Xelkos was a gamer name I created back in Everquest 1 days. It is not so unique anymore. Have been called lots of things, yet nothing that stuck.
Adopted a name from from youth when I was making boomerangs, but only used that on facebook when my first username was removed due to verifying me as a human failed. - Verification then meant being charged $1.01 on a cell phone, something that our TelCo blocked. By the time I got it reinstated people knew me by my second account, so deleted Xelkos on facebook. - Long story there, sorry.

Once wanted to change my name here and the Head Turd Polisher convinced me not to.

Thanks Xelkos (I did think your name might be from very early Doctor Who  )

They are made of a good robust stainless steel, which as you can see, will polish up nicely
I don’t know if you know about these knives but BAK stands for British Army Knife, you can see the arrow stamp next to the 1955 this tells us they were actually issued by the MOD (Ministry Of Defence)

I hate photo bucket  :twak: :twak: :twak:

Redo this one for Mags, from 2011  :salute:

Here's my 1953 BAK with a broken back spring  :)

Not easy to take to pieces without damage :ahhh

What shall I add?

With added Brass and Orange Micarta  :tu:

Lining up the bits, that brass is very shiny

Peening over the end of a brass rod to make the rivets  ;)

This is going really well  :tu: one rivet fitted at the front ... blade? …...bugger I forgot to put the blade in  :-[

Sharpen the end of the rod/rivet to get it through all the layers   ;)

Right hand rivet done, middle cut off ready to peen  :)

this is what it looks like now  :salute:
