pocket carry or sheath?  Sometimes my craftsman i think is a bit big for my pocket. Thinking about getting a pouch/sheath.

Very nice!

I think Swiss Army knives make an excellent EDC tool.

I have one of these Victorinox Rangers, it seems to me that it would be good for camping or for someone in Boy Scouts or any similar organisation.  There are all sorts of bushcraft uses for the saw, file, awl & chisel.  I like having a file and there are not that many SAKs that include one - it is often handy to be able to file off a little plastic/wood/metal to make something fit or not stick or whatever.

Yeah, what's not to love about a good useful SAK like the Vic Ranger?

I have one too... I was going to replace the corkscrew with a Phillips but haven't got round to it yet. Damn fine tool as it is though, enjoy it :)

I don't mind either way between the corkscrew & the Phillips.  To me the Phillips screwdriver is of limited value because of how awkward it is to use one from the middle of the SAK, the models with a Phillips screwdriver on one end are much better.  There is also the can opener with its small flat screwdriver that works on many Phillips screws which makes a separate Phillips screwdriver less important.  The corkscrew is no great thing for me either because I don't drink wine, but there are other uses for that tool including holding a small screwdriver.
I have also came across some pozidrive screws that the screwdriver on the can opener is too big for, but the small flat screwdriver on the back (between the chisel & the hook) fits perfectly in - between those 2 flat screwdrivers most Phillips screws are covered.

Yup, LOVE THE RANGER, it was my first large SAK that I carried for a while.  It still rides in my MaxPed.Neat-Freak bag, so when I have that it's with me.  Packing 93mm and Spirit now so I don't need it as much but if I needed a large knife I could get into a pocket I'd grab a Ranger.  I've also warmed up to the SwissChamp and Champion Plus, but for those I'm using a belt pouch. I'd say the Ranger is the perfect max/min balance in a larger SAK.  I'd like to see a Ranger with the Bit-Driver... hmmm maybe that's a Mod I need to have done.
