So when taking some pics of my new TiNi PowerLock I thought I would roust up the rest of my SOGs.So guys feel free to post a pic(s) of ya collection of SOGs large & small  :pok: :pok: :D :D

Old ToolClips :D

That sheath  ??? :D :D :D 8) 8) 8) :D

Speaking of sheaths , SOG's leather ones are nice.

My favourite SOG sheath  gotta be the old Blackie Collins (designer of the ParaTool ) ParaTool sheath.

Awesome collections posted. I've just started getting into the SOG's. I have 4. Question, did the older Powerlocks (larger tool) not have locking tools like the smaller Powerplier?

Scott

A brief timeline:
The original geared compound leverage tool from SOG was the Power Plier. A bit later they brought out a smaller version, called the Pocket Power Plier. Neither of these had locking blades. Then came the PowerLock in 1998, which was the first tool from SOG that did have locking blades. Shortly after the introduction of the PowerLock, SOG discontinued the original Power Plier.

Hope that helps! :)

There sure are some incredible SOG's in this thread.  Mat's Power Plier TiNi is one I would like to lay my hands on!  The 3 plier heads that Allan has on his Power Pliers are great, 2 out of 3 ain't bad for me.   Chako has a rainbow of Mini Tool Clips and I spotted a couple of variations on the Stanley Mini Switchplier.  And all the other pictures are great too...

Gareth:  The gear scratch on you P3 is interesting, it always seems weird to me that the gears can scratch the plier head.

Allan:  If I come across a case of Blackie Collins sheaths for the Paratool you will be the second to know!  And I'm right there with you the Power Plier is my favorite also.

Here are my PowerLocks: My favorite is 5th from the left.

And a group picture:

I know this is a multitool forum but the 2 black handle knives are a AutoClip and Mini Autoclip made from BG-42 steel.  This incredible steel is kinda interesting so here is some info on BG-42:

I have one Power Plier that has a Quality Control problem...I think it is my only Power Plier made in Lynnword.  The plier head might have been stamped "SOG..." incorrectly since the G and USA are missing but the sides of the plier head are parallel.

Ok, so who has a TiNi or Tiger Stripe Cross Grip?  I wanna see them.

Bruce

Thank you sir.  :tu:
(a BC-sheath containing a Paratool could work too.  :))

Good collection of SOGs Bruce.  :tu:  There are no other variations of the tiger stripe SOGs. The tiger stripe Powerlock was an exclusive to Brigade Quartermaster. They no longer carry them. They were never plentiful. Now they will be exceedingly hard to come by now. I saw one on ebay a couple years ago and it brought a tidy sum.   :D
