The Frankentool 200 is going in for repair.

A few of you might have seen my one of a kind Frankentool 200, which is a Supertool 200 with the Charge/Wave plier head with cap crimper.

I say one of a kind because I got it back from Leatherman warranty like that.
Recently I got fed up with the plier head becoming very stiff, despite a lot of oiling and tinkering. So I sent it in for repair again.
I wrote Leatherman that I want it to be repaired and not replaced.

So, what do you think I'll be getting back this time?

It wasn't a CC when I bought it...
And what am I supposed to do with a tool that doesn't work?

You trade it out for a NIB SuperTool 200, that's what.

I'd have offered in a heartbeat. (And I do, if you've not yet sent it off.)

Just a heads up, I got a ST300 back from Leatherman...
I'm a bit pissed because I asked them to repair the tool and not replace it with an "upgrade".
Oh well, I guess I should be thankful that they give such good service for free
