I was very surprised I was the only bid,  especially with the ridiculous prices the sheaths alone are going for these days.  I saw one Leatherman brand leather sheath get over 40$, that's insane.

An $6 Western? fixed blade I found on Etsy. It looks like junk, but couldn't pass it up for six bucks.

Going to pic up a Skeletool later, used. The ad says it needs a clean as has some rust and sharpened.

What would be the best way to clean rust off a tool like that? Am I going to have to strip it down?

I just use an SOS pad--those fine steel wool soap pads.  Usually takes the rust right off without scratching,

Cheapest way for me to get this model delivered to the UK!

Got these two American Schrade Old Timers from Camping Survival as a birthday present for myself (as they should arrive Tuesday, my birthday)

I chose two that were fairly cheap--a Schrade USA 3OT Bearclaw lockback (it's Schrade + stainless, which works well, though it certainly ain't 1095!) and a 1095 Schrade USA 12OT "Pal" (which I've had as a Chinese Schrade since I was 10, and it was a lemon even back then). Both cost $10 shipped altogether--which is a steal, given I usually see these knives for more than that each in worse shape.

I would say most of us don't "need" much gear but it sure is fun getting things either at the store or in the mail :dd: :like:
