Nice one! I've been looking at little pin badges myself, with a view to using them as "shields" on mods with custom scales, instead of a cross logo. I picked up two nice ones, and one abomination which I had to get a refund on :D

I also had a look at listing for odd cufflinks, and broken jewellery, to see if anything there looked worth repurposing. By 'eck, have some people worn some UGLY stuff in the past  needless to say, I haven't found any treasures that route yet  :D

(I think I might have enough for now anyway though, as they won't all have a shield/badge)

Tommorrow, I'm shipping off two SAKs (a 1980s Pioneer and a 1990s SwissTool) for warranty work. The Pioneer needs a new awl, and the blade straightened. The SwissTool needs the cutters replaced and work done to the side with the PE blade (removing a chunk of a box cutter blade I tried to loosen that side's tools with)

Opinel No. 9 DIY.  They had been $27 for years, but this time was just $22, so I pulled the trigger.

I have one in grey. Love it. The handle is comfortable for being a hard plastic and the blade shape is very nice for general utility use. Wire stripper works about the same as on the leatherman can opener.

Lufkin 372 ruler with caliper. My grandmother was getting her hair cut the other day, I saw that the lady who owned the business just had one sitting on a shelf beside a TV for decorative purposes, but she didn't seem interested in selling it, so I ordered this one for ten bucks off eBay as soon as I got home. Not exactly pretty but it will be used a lot.

Nice buy! The Lufkin brass and wooden rules are really neat.

Nice catch !   :tu:

Those pruner MTs aren't very common these days.  What are the markings on yours ?

Hi Greg,

Thanks, I've been looking for these for a while now.
No idea on the marks. I do know it was made in France. I won't know the rest until it gets here.  :dunno:

I thought it looked French.  I have two that look similar.
With markings "Depose Brevete" stamped near the pivot for the pruners on both, and "Made in France" on the larger knife tang of one, the other one is blank on both tangs.

They seem to be a bit rare, yours is only the 4th that I know of.

I believe Bob's and one on eBay is all I've seen before this one popped up.  With a hawkbill blade and a grafting blade along with the pruners this is a neat little gardening tool.

The one you saw on ebay may now reside down-under (depending on when you saw it).  I bought both mine on ebay (June 2016 & July 2017).
