Actually the welder came with one.....a pretty crappy one, but if it works for the occasional usage then that’s all it needs to do.

But otherwise yes, if it doesn’t work, then I will be getting a proper welding mask next

It’s not one of those hand held masks is it ???

It is...

...should I order my new mask in plain black or with some cool graphics on it?

Spoil yourself and get one with nice graphics  :like:
But the main thing that you want
is automatic screen darkening  :tu:

It might make more sense to get one locally here, instead of online, mainly for warranty purposes..

There's one here, which has the automatic screen darkening and is 100% solar powered, doesn't have any cool graphics on it, but still...

I don't know if "Safter" is a good brand, but for the occasional usage it will see, I'm sure it will do fine

And a better quality one for tig welding  :tu:

I am not a certified welder, I just took a welding class / course, the guy teaching the class made a living welding on tanks in the military and then he helped out at a vintage american car garage on the side, pretty cool guy actually and he was a good teacher too.

...I lost my point somewhere....

.....What I wanted to say was, I tried TIG welding both steel and aluminium and only concluded that I am pretty terrible at it  ...it definitely takes a lot of skill and practice, where as MIG welding is a lot more straightforward (Compared to TIG welding) given that the welder is adjusted correctly of course.  :)

Will you post a few pictures of it and maybe do a review of it when you get it?  :)

Yes sir I sure will.

I've been looking for a good example of one for a year now. Just was looking on international eBay last night and saw the listing. :woohoo:

Oh, and one other thing, please be careful when welding! I had a cheap automatic mask and it failed some years ago. I still see spots in my vision from time to time. I know you know to be careful, but safety can't be stressed enough.  :ahhh

Yes mom, don't worry....I will be careful  :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Sorry, I couldn't help it

My main concern with it, is that in it's maximum setting it will only weld at 90A (for god knows what reason it can go as low as 30A), not sure how strong welds it can do, but I guess I will find out once the snow has cleared here......in about 852 years, by the way things are looking atm.  :ahhh

But yes, I need to get a proper welding mask that is for sure  :tu:

I was actually about to ask you what you think of that mask

But the MIG welder I bought only has a maximum output of 90A and is Gasless too, so think it should be more than fine for that  :) ...but yeah, I'm not going to compromise on safety, even for a low output welder, especially when one can risk going blind or have permanent damaged vision in some way or the other, just not worth the risk.... so a proper welding mask was needed  :)

So yeah again, thanks for your and gerleatherberman's input and feedback

I am using a mobile browser. Can you see the extremely long quotes in every reply?

I just use a selection and bluelight the extra quotes and delete them. :)

If you're using tapatalk, you won't see the embedded quotes.
