I've got a Leatherman OHT Camo Special Edition on the way. Seems quite an uncommon variation. Pic's will follow once it arrives next week.  :)
That looks gorgeous Max :dd: :like:

Thanks GLB, may come in useful for a comparison to a Gerber one day  ;)

Most definitely, Max. It showcases LM's valiant effort to utilize Gerber's enduring and robust sliding pliers system. I am still on the wall about the OHT, but am reserving judgement, since I have yet to carry one of my OHTs.

Yes, it is the odd one out. My prediction is that LM will can it in 2020/21. It's going to move into the shadows, deeper onto retail shelves, as newer LM's come on stream and take the limelight.

You're probably correct. I got my black oxide OHT for $18 at a Wal-Mart clearance  sale. It seems the OHT is just too clunky for most people to use and it isn't quite tough enough for military issue. The flimsy handle scales really detract from the overall build quality and the pliers are known to be misaligned from the factory. Both of my OHTs had misaligned pliers.  :ahhh

Bummer...and Gerber gets it right for almost 30 years. They will be smiling when LM discontinue it.  :)

That's for sure.

Gerber was smart to keep the MP, and MP600/400 as simple as possible. :)
Gerber does have a plethora of failures with sliding plier designs though(with many more utilizing the butterfly opening tools). Such as the Flik, Freehand, Grappler, Recoil, Octane, and Balance.  :ahhh

I want one of those for the same reasons. Always looking for a used one, but no luck so far. Guess people really like theirs?

I think it's because they are rarely confiscated, and that they aren't exactly a huge seller so few on the used market as well. You'll still see these as "TSA Confiscated" from time to time for about the $15 price I paid.
