Maybe a bit of both (a bit of filling, and a bit of sanding) would be in order, and would stop me risking sanding into the peened heads on the pins.  :think: Maybe some two part epoxy would do the job too, so long as I can keep it away from moving parts of course.

Looking at my Pioneer Harvester that's awaiting the same fate, the shield is quite high, so any sanding would probably remove it. That said, I don't get too sentimental about that stuff. When I start making my own scales, I'll not be recreating a cross on them. Besides which, they only get to put it on knives they've finished. If I have to refinish it to get what I want from it, then I get to choose what logo it has :D

Since LM had them so cheap, I bought four of the Realtree camo sheaths for large MTs.  Didn't have to pay a cent, as I used my gift card from the last free ship/free $15 gift card for this one, which was going on again at present, so I'll be getting an $15 gift card again.

Mostly got them because my Surge and ST300 came with MOLLE sheaths; and those have quite limited use unless you have a MOLLE pack for EDC or camp.

Seller's original asking price was a bit above the prices you see on eBay for example. So the 30% off put it about 20% below the real market price.

Which is a rather complicated way of saying I paid €81 for it :)
