Tough one. Maybe a course award for the Presto  Volunteer Fire Department.  :dunno:

Will be a good one to put out on the board to see if anyone recognizes it.

I finally got myself pulled together and ordered myself a Rangerwood 55.

I managed to find one that was around 300 DKK / €40 cheaper than every where else I have looked.

I can’t wait to test it out, even if it doesn’t like dirt and dust, I can still find some sort of use for it.

Never complain about a brick...this Nokia 5110 still works and gives me 4 days battery life! Just no MT.O.

EDC from 1998  :salute:

1998?
Can you say Siemens S10 Active?

But seriously, once you went Nokia you never went back.  :salute:

Sad for the planet that Nokia couldn't translate what made them great into smartphones

Siemens! Yes, loved their flip phones. The Nokia N9 was well-ahead of the curve in 2011 with its MeeGo OS, but then Nokia had to dump the OS as part of their Microsoft agreement. Nokia 930 was a favourite of mine, but by then Microsoft had lost the plot and it died along with Windows Phone.  :(

Nice that in SA and Namibia we can still use the old phones on the 2G networks  :tu:

My Granddad had a 5510 when he got his first cellphone in 2000 or so. I think it still works--I used to play games on the thing until I got my own phone in 2008.  I know at least Verizon around here still has working 2G--I know a friend of mine who still has a phone from 2005 he uses daily.    Dunno about AT&T.  They're GSM; which means you've got to have a SIM card in the phone.

The NEC being a "brick" basically meant on how slow it had gotten on Android.  My old Samsung Rugby 4 is technically a brick in its size and weight class, but still works fine; just the sound quality got bad and it dropped calls. It's been dropped, dunked, thrown, stepped on, sat on, uh, I forgot; and still works like new.  While I appreciate email and browsers, I don't need the things. A cellphone, in my mind, should only be good at making and recieving calls, and have a battery that lasts forever. On a 3-day camping trip, the NEC died the first day; but I'm sure the Samsung would still have a full battery. In retrospect--should have swapped SIMs and dragged the Samsung.

I got a little pocket money today, and instead of a takeaway I decided to buy myself a Thorfifire TG06S flashlight and a Sanrenmu 7078MUX. I'm sure the wife will have something to say when they turn up!
SAK - Champ, Huntsman, Grand Prix, Sentry, Classic SD, Swiss Card Classic. Multitools - LM Skeletool CX, LM PST II, LM Wave. Flashlights: Thorfire TG06S, Lumintop Tool AAA, Maglite LED 2xAA. Knives: Sanrenmu 7078MUX-GKJ & GVK

To me, not having that in an SAK corkscrew (so far, the only ones in EDC that don't have the driver in it are older models with the 5-turn, grooved corkscrew which can't fit it unless the driver is heavily modified) is wasting space.  Allows you to handle small screws on not only glasses, but also electronics. And, the newer model can be fit into a 1/4 bit driver if you need it.
