Noob alert
on: June 27, 2011, 11:11:04 PM
Hi

Owned a Cybertool 34 for over ten years, and love it.  After buying a LM PS4 and finding it not very good I'm going to stick with what I know and get a Spirit.

Any one from the UK ordered from Felinenet? Just wondering about postage costs and delivery times or should I just go to Amazon?

Thanks

Robert

Felinevet (Tim) is a very well known and highly respected entity here at MT.O.   It is a great guy, with fantastic service.  You would be hard pressed to find the same item at a lower price (shipped).

I got my Spirit X from Tim and I remember the P&P was very reasonable, worked out less than anything I could fine in the UK at the time.  To get a exact price just give Tim a email or PM him on this site, he's an excellent chap to deal with. :)

Can the ratchet etc be purchased later if you just get the basic Spirit? As I already have a Cybertool 34 don't feel at this point its worth getting the extra bits n bobs.

You only say that because it is one of the best SAKs ever! (I've had mine for over 10 years also)

I'm sure that you'll also love your Spirit when you get it - I have a SwissTool X and I would say that the Victorinox multi-tools are very well made with a fantastic fit & finish.

Hi Bob, would you mind telling me why you consider a PS4 to be not so good? The reason I ask is because I'm thinking about getting one. It seems to be a perfect pocket pliers-based multitool.

Thanks.

Hi Paperclip

The bottle opener, and scissors are not as good as the ones on the Cybertool.  At the weekend I had to replace a fuse in a UK 3 pin mains plug and just couldn't undo the screw as there wasn't enough reach.  Also slightly bent the end of one of the small screwdriver on the PS4 using it as a pry  :-[.

The pliers are fantastic, used them at the weekend to repair my daughters wardrobe along with the Cybertool.

I have the PS4 on my car keys and my CT on the work keyring but always go for the CT.

HTH
