Yay someone else's I knew from before.

I was going to make some joke about how I have fewer likes, but then I saw how many likes I actually have.

But any way a change of subject.

I have been trying to get a job at a museum, as I have a MA in history, but don't have any experience, thus leading to an endless string of rejections.  So because it is best to get a variety of rejections, I have applied to be a blacksmith at a civil war fort, and things are looking up because they want to interview me :D

So, I was looking for a place to live, and this town has nothing in the way of apartments (I plan to ask if they have any housing).   But they do have a marina and there are some cheap sail boats for sail in the area.  The marina advertised that a slip (land storage in winter) for $138 per foot per year, and you can get a livible 28' sailboat for $2500 (possibly less).  Making it the equivalent of $530.33 a month.

Here's the thing, while I love boats I have never lived on a boat, owend one larger then a 18' kayak, or been to Delaware (where the job is).  So does anyone know if it would be doable to live on a 27-28' sailboat for the summer and fall, and does anyone know how marinas work?  And of  course am I crazy for considering this.

ohh your crazy! :pok: :P

but you should go for it! how bad could it be? and if you don't like it you could always sell it but it sounds like sweet living to me ...  :dd:

I worked at a museum one summer, construction on the U505 German WWII submarine project they had at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago when they remodeled the place where they kept the boat, was soooo cool I have pictures  :D

me on the deck ;)

Well since you brought it up.  As part of a class I did do a case on Gettysburg and Vicksburg, and a timeline of the war.

But hopefully I will have many more to come. Thanks

You are counting wrong, September would be 8 month.  October is the 9 month.
January is month zero, February is month 1.
If  born  in September maybe the Turkey dinner was good, or just came home from deer hunting trip.
