every one carries a back up wave to there wave  :P when they go in to the wood right???? :pok:

well heres a idea for a cheep servival saw i dont no if any one els on here has dune this i didnt check so if you have sorry for steeling your mojo :p

if you open the wav up like a t handle i thing it would work great any thoughts?

Looks like it might work. Although I wouldnt want to carry that saw without a cover on the teeth.  :doh:

The chainsaw chain is a bit..umm..overkill?

I think I'd rather have a good axe or big knife. Both will get through big limbs with far less effort than a chainsaw chain run manually. Failing that I would use the rings that come with the saw and the only reason I would have one of those saws is if it was in a survival kit. Then I only have have to carry one multitool.

I would definitely not place that much trust in the locking mechanism for a wave.  They weren't designed for that much force and I can almost guarantee failure in short order.  Pocket survival chain saws are available for around $20 or so from Countycomm, I would advise getting one.
