Grouped up my modest Case collection while I was at it. And some of the nicer Bear & Sons knives (last pic) with a few different brandings made by B & S at some point or another.

Boots so far.

Looks like two Gerbers on each side of your picture.Great pic.

I had a Gerber boot knife designed by Blackie Collins or maybe Bob Loveless. It had no separate hilt but the metal handle acted as a hilt with the handle slightly flared at its juncture with the blade.

It had a sheath with spring loaded retention clips and a metal clip, like the three sheaths in your picture, for attaching to inside of the shaft of a western boot.I also had a shoulder rig for it.It was similar to one of my Bianchi gun shoulder rigs. You would loop your right arm through the elastic harness and then put your left arm through the other side.It had a sheath attached to one side of the harness that hung upside down under your arm.The knife clipped into the sheath using two spring loaded retention clips on both sides of the sheath.

Thanks Toolguy,
L-R Gerber,Explorer,G96,Aitor, unbranded Solingen.
I would like to have a set up as you describe with the harness. I have seen them with a Gerber Guardian. I nearly had a Guardian recently but someone else wanted it more.
Thanks for the comment.

You're welcome.

Gerber Guardian, that was the name of it.It was all black and the handle was metal with a textured finish. It was cool but someone wanted it more than myself so I let him have it.

That’s interesting. I’ve seen a review of one that looks different in the blade markings and a crest or badge stamped into the sheath front.  Maybe official or older version.

That's a recycled material called Paperstone. It's appropriately named because it's as hard as stone.

Awesome Kabar selection, sak60!

With all of the smaller knives a lot of us carry, those Kabars brought this to mind.

Yes the Gerber is a nice one and quite early on I think though Mk1’s are hard to research compared to the Mk2’s.
Thanks, at some stage I will post all my other WW2 blades as well.
