Check this out- how many SAKs do you have that can say they were for Swiss troops serving in an active war zone? :D

Here's a few more that arrived this week.

The OH Rescue tool I've had for a while, but I finally managed to get a non- OH Rescue tool, which is pretty hard to come by in North America.

Other than the main blade, which doesn't have the one handed opening hole or the serrated edge, the standard Rescue is identical to the OH Rescue model.

This guy also showed up:

It's a 91mm Standard (Spartan, but without the keyring) with a corporate logo on it.  This one by itself isn't really interesting, but it makes a nice companion to this one:

This is an 84mm Super Tinker model.  For the non SAK people, this is interesting because the Super Tinker is usually a 91mm model.  This one is a factory manufactured 84mm version, and has the shield on the back side, next to the Phillips driver.

It's been a pretty darned good SAK week so far!

The OSCE is a :climber: model.

The Super Tinker in that picture actually has the Sika logo on the other side of it... not the shield.  I was too excited about getting the pictures posted I got confused! :P  The Standard doesn't have a shield at all, just the Sika logo.

Congratulations on the PowerLock- any initial impressions to share?

Well, first off the V-cutter does work! And I need to hide the evidence of my experiments before Mrs Bison comes home :D
It's one honest brute of a tool, obviously meant to be used and used hard. The F&F isn't quiteVic or Leatherman, but that to me that's a plus because I know I won't mind putting it through it's paces.  It's going to be the one I reach for when I know I'm going to be in situations that requires some heavy duty work.I haven't encountered bite on the hand from the gear teeth, but then I'm aware of other users' experience, and adjusted my grip.I'm going to be playing and working with it for a few more days putting the other on board tools to use.

My bad- I forgot to mention that the 2 hand Rescue SAK and the Sika Standard are both from SwissBianco.  Roger was nice enough to supply me with the two hander when I asked, and he remembered that I had another Sika crested SAK, so he sent this one along as a bonus when he came across it.

Thanks Roger!

I didn't know they made a non-one-handed-blade Rescue Tool.  ??? Seems like the one-handed model would be much preferred.

It seems weird that a rescue tool would be a two handed model.  I guess that quick blade access is not all that important in all rescue situations.  If a person was an emergency services worker I would think that the glass breaker would make the most sense anyway.  You have to be able to get to them before you can cut their seatbelt.  That is kind of cool that they made two different models.  Was the two hander made especially for a certain group or agency?

I think the two-handed model was developed in response to legal restrictions against one hand opening knives.Though I can't see why emergency personnel can't be exempted from that restriction

The silly thing is... everything else on the tool is one handed opening! :P

Upper (One) Hand Article on SOSAKOnline

You can still access the curved, serrated seatbelt cutter and glass saw one handed!

I honestly doubt I could get a picture of my full collection for a number of reasons.

1.  Swiss Army Knives alone would take up the floorspace of an entire room in my apartments and I would have to be hoisted up by a crane to snap the picture, and you'd get no appreciable detail.
2.  They are scattered all over the place, both in my apartment and abroad as they like to go visiting, get traded etc.
3.  Any picture I take is outdated within 72 hours as I tend to trade, buy and yes, occasionally even sell them often.

I did take a picture of my collection a while back when it all fit on a table top... although it was a fair sized table!

Here's my entire sprawling collection from a few years ago. (Caution, it may take some time for photo to load) At the time, this was every single type of multitool that I knew to exist.  :)
