This is a hour long video all about re-handling, sharpening and using your Axe

Excellent vid mate  :tu: :tu: :tu:

I do prefer single bit axes myself as I'm never doing "earthwork" with them, and do like the poll when splitting so you can invert a stuck log and bring the whole lump down poll first ... but that's just what I'm used to ... even if double bit does look  :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool:  :D

I am defiantly an amateur when it comes to using them, I'm looking forward to the meet so I get a chance to play with my double bit Axe  :D

I'm amateur myself. I've never hung one or done much other than the most basic sharpening really, though I did have to do some reprofiling of a hatchet with a file once. I know what to look for in choosing an axe and how to use one without my limbs falling off, but my experience is pretty much limited to processing firewood.

I'm looking forward to playing with your double bit axe too  :pok: :D :D :D

I watched this whole thing a few months ago, as well as the video on gang saws. Way cool, and learned so much.
Fan of the Leatherman mini-bit driver and the Vic backspring philips.
