Username change?

I'll try this here...tried an email but suspect it wound up going thru a spam filter.  I have only found one other older thread here about this so I thought I'd ask through a new one.  Is it possible to do a username change?  I don't want to abandon the current account but I need to get my first initial/last name off of any user accounts I have in various forms online.  I have a username I've picked out...verified it after logging out.
