Question about your SI.  Does your hollow rivet taper in before going hollow or is yours just flat?

Cheers :) as far as i can see its flat through the length of it.

Don't you love the unpolished tools on that '75 SI?  In use, I find them noticably more effective than the polished ones.

I've been thinking the same thing, i much prefer the unpolished looks it just seems much more workman like.

Ta :)  Although I do seem to have lost the creative spree i was on a few weeks ago though. My photo's are not turning out as well as they used to :( Ah well it was good while it lasted!

My rivet tapers in just around the head and then hollows out.  Apart from that it looks identical.  They really are great SAK's.  :)

Yup thats what i was expecting! I will say though that my SI looks to have had a lot of use, the alox has started to either discolour, or the plating is coming off (not sure how the alox is done) But all the tools snap open and close pretty damn smoothly. I'm very impressed for a tool thats over 30yrs old!
