This is my fault. I should have, in the original post, made it clearer (I just edited that post). Like I said before, when I asked the 2 guys I work with what would be the number range if I rolled 3 dice, they both said 3-18! That way of thinking never entered my mind  :o (only 16 total numbers for how many members?).

That doesn't make anyone smarter than anyone else, it's just a different way of thinking.

I think I have clarified things by editing the original post.

Thanks all for your interest in the contest!  :D

11, now that's funny.  :D

Anybody else have a "total", but WRONG answer? :ahhh :ahhh

Let's see how many of us can come up with the total of the 3 dice (it's only 16 numbers).

If you guess it you will , of course, win nothing! :(

The 3 dice were all rolled at the same time and read just like a book, left to right. Number combinations mean nothing, it's all in the location that they landed.

mmmmmm belly button.

Funny thing about that nice flat surface. I asked one of the guys I work with to roll the dice. I told him, one roll and we will read the dice left to right, no matter what happens. NO second roll!

He rolled them on a nice flat glass top table and lo and behold, what would have been die number two bounced off that HARD glass table top and landed on the floor and became number one.

And so it goes.

I think you should do someting like roll the dice one at a time over the course of the week. For example, everyone would have two days to put in guesses before you rolled the first die, and you tell everyone. Two more days, then another die. Then, on the last day of the week, roll the last die!

Interesting idea. So you're saying all guesses have to be in in two days?

Just to remind everyone I will be giving away a Leatherman Charge next week. What does everyone want, the Ti or XTi.

These boys have been opened, fondled, drooled over (not drooled on) but not used, and are therefore NEW. It will come in it's original, but opened, package with the sheath and pamphlets.

In addition to deciding which Charge most people would like a chance at, which sheath? I have both the leather and the nylon. I don't have a preference about which one I will keep so I can put either in the package. You decide. :D

It has got a mite complicated hasn't it :D

But I understand the rules so thats all that matters :D

A little bit, but it's mostly been my fault! ::)

Speaking of my mistakes, I should further clarify 111-666. This is really misleading. As I was going through the entries (only 24 by my count) I saw 4-5-9 (mpi, you need to change your last number). This IS between 111-666!! :ahhh  So remember each die only has 6 numbers. No single number can be higher than 6.

Sorry about the confusion. :-[

I know what you mean, but it's amazing how much confusion can be created over something so seemingly simple. I just don't think that I covered all the bases in regards to the rules. Maybe it's because most of us since childhood have rebelled against rules. We hate them! :ahhh
