Worst feeling in the world
on: December 11, 2007, 08:14:31 PM
Some of you may have noticed that I have been on here a lot recently.  That's because for the last 9 days I have been off work playing with the kids, doing xmas shopping and doing odds and sods around the house.  It's been lovely!  :)

Today is my last day though and I am back to work first thing in the morning.  :(  It really sucks to think that my holiday is now over.

Don't you just hate that feeling?  :(
I'm back!!

It is a pretty bad feeling to go back to work after a long stint off.  I usually get reall borred and I'd rather have somthing to do like work so going back is not all that bad in the end.

I am lucky enough to get xmas eve and day off this year, but I am working every other day including new year.  :(

I am an assistant manager of a childrens home, which is great but it means working shifts.
I'm back!!

I've been on the dole since March, and I hate Christmas; anyone want me to cover for them over the festive period?! :D

Have you thought about voluntary work ???, maybe down riverside :)

I wouldn't fancy it myself, but it could lead to something permanent :-\, I'm in a similar situation, as I only work part time ::)

I already do the reptile survey at Riverside. If people knew how many adders were there they'd never use the place :D If I did it in an 'official' capacity that would suffer a bit I think, and opportunities are few & far between. Can't work for the RSPB as we've had a massive barney this year about another site. Funnily enough I'm going to the Volunteer Bureau this week to see what's about.

Of course you'll have to supply your own Buckmaster, a must for the modern wildlife professional on the go!  :pok:

Are they doing something rude :o

As for the buckmaster, surely one in the south east is enough :D

I hope not, they're two boys :o About 70m from the visitor centre :D

I haven't got a Buckmaster (yet), but I'm sure that any Gillingham plod that saw it would only applaud me for carrying the right tool for the job :D

My company gives us the week between Christmas and New Years every year. This year that includes 7 paid days off & a total of 11 straight! :ahhh

Because I'm so dedicated I'll work at least 3 of those "days off" (I really hate working triple time) plus at least 2 of the weekend days. A nice mix of some time off and cold hard cash! :D

Sorry about your dog, but you're right, the first time I cried as an adult was when my first collie Hunter died. He was only 8, but had an enlarged heart. :(

It is one of the worst feelings in the world to take your best friend to be put to sleep I was twenty years old when I took my 13year old mongrel to the vet for the last time it is something I will never forget and yes I cried like a little girl after it

yeah, truly mans best friend. on the good side my dog had a good life and a lot of people liked her, I still laugh at some of the things she did!
like chase her tail every morning or that look she had when she wanted to play (like every hour)

I'm leaving work right now and no matter how much of an ass I've been today, my dogs are going to treat me like I'm the best guy in the world when I get home. I can't wait! :) :)

God bless all our 4 legged friends who have passed. They are the BEST!

When I was ill I used to have to go to hospital every few months for a check up . One day I was sitting in the examination room waiting for the Doctor to come in and see me , I could hear a lady in the room next door being told that she only had 2 months to live   I didnt like that .
