Alox Soldier Mod
on: August 22, 2011, 03:55:42 AM
Here is a project that I've wanted to do for awhile now. For my edc SAK, I really don't need a can opener as I carry one in my man purse. I've always loved the phillips screwdriver part of the can opener on the soldier but I found it to be too wide for my needs. I wanted to get more function out of it so I did a little mod.  >:D I did make a minor mistake by nicking the alox scale, but overall I'm really pleased with the way she turned out. Its exactly as I envisioned it.  :tu:

What do you guys think?

Thanks!     I had some limitations on how I could grind the steel because of the way the can opener was made. It's going to be a great edc knife now.   :tu:

I've always thought about doing that!

You just made yourself a fine Technician!
Fan of the Leatherman mini-bit driver and the Vic backspring philips.

Wow, how cool is that!   I'll have to live with mine for now, but I'll be on the hunt for a technician.  :salute:
