Question to those that have the chopper with the box cutter option. Is this safe to carry in a pocket or would there be potential for accidents?

It's not as sharp as you think. It's about as sharp as a ball point pin nib.

I've got the second version of the TT Skull, which has the same type of box opener on it as the new verison of the Chopper. I've carried it to work in a pocket without any problems.  I don't think the new Chopper would prove to be unsafe for carry for handling because the box opener isn't a cutting edge as such - it's just a way of allowing the tool to bite into tape more effectively.  From my experience, I can't see the Chopper with box opener being dangerous to carry.

I've carried my box cutting Chopper in my back pocket for a year or so now and I've never had a issue with it poking me or ripping my pants.

is the box cutter blade "crappy enough" on the skulls & similar tools to be considered TSA compliant?

The latest version of the Skull tool is now available for sale and looks like a real advance on the earlier versions.

Well I got a email back from TT he's unsure of TSA laws but he told me some of his customers have flown with tool's that have the box cutting edge.

PS it's a handy little edge and NOT crappy at all :D

No anonymity in this world it seems. I tried a different edc forum but didn't like it too much and it seemed a little buggy.

it used to be a great forum. It's ok though. We keep it real and have fun doing it here.

I'm banned from edcf and I don't miss it :P

We should probably create a whole new subforum for all the nice guys and gals that help you find out about stuff you didn't know you needed. How about "The Enablers' Lounge"? :D

A little more enabeling for the tt collector/ skeletool owner.

The TT leatherman Bit Tool or L.B.T fit's nice in the Skeletool's spare bit holder.
