I'm after ideas for storing a 18650 battery safely in my pack.
Only idea I've had so far is a small knife sheath
Is there anything out on the market for this, or are there any cunning improvisations being used?

The 18650 fits nicely into a big cigar tube.
My lights run on a variety of cells from cr123 to 17650 and 18650
i just store my spare batts in a padded envelope in my bag
As long as it stays safe from bumps and knocks they are pretty reliable
I've stored my batts this way for over 5 years in my bag and camping bags

If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.

Does that mean I'd have to buy a big cigar and smoke it - aw what a shame  >:D
I've got some bubble wrap I could make a little pouch for as a stop gap, but my pack is quite heavily packed and hoped for something a little more ... battery shaped (I'll look into the tube idea)

This any good?

Nice one Millhouse  :tu: I only need to store one, but I've bookmarked that as it looks useful for CR123's even if I don't use it for the big lads

Thanks for all your suggestions guys. I followed the link to lighthound and spotted the Coghlans match box was suggested as a 18650 carrier, which looks perfect. I'm pretty sure I can pick them up locally quite cheap too  :tu: I'd have never thought of that  :salute:
