Swiss tool bit wrench wanted please!
on: December 13, 2007, 04:26:06 PM
Has anyone in the UK got one of these to swap for Paypal pennies please? http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_8&products_id=101896

Also, am I right in thinking that I saw one (with a tool) that had a corkscrew that fitted it, or am I going mad?

Or both? :D

Forgot to say, I can swap for a brand-new Leatherman MOLLE pouch as well, still in the wrapping.

Are they hard to get then? I just thought it would make a nice little EDC toy.

Things usually only take a week, which is pretty good.  And it will be cheap, and you are giving to a good cause to.

Thats just win win win! :)

You must be mad!  :P

(No, not really.)  ;) The corkscrew fits into a special D-shape hole in later-model SwissTools

There's a notch in the shank of it....it sort of wedges into the D-hole in the SwissTool. Fits in there pretty snugly too I might add  :)

So how do you remove the cork from the corkscrew after it's removed from the bottle?

I'm guessing you remove the corkscrew with cork attached, use the pliers to grip the exposed end of the corkscrew, then twist the cork off by hand...

I dunno exactly (not a wine drinker myself) but it seems like you could just twist the cork off the corkscrew, while the corkscrew was still attached to the SwissTool  :-\

That's how I've done it with any corkscrew I've ever used.  I don't know why this one would be any different.
