cheers mate, its now running a nice dura ace  hubbed mavic rimmed back wheel as picked a mint one up from my local dump, people are crazy what they throw away  :think:

 :D  ok i picked up a wheel at my local dump , it had a mint shimano dura ace hub with Ti freehub, swiss SS spokes and a SUP mavic rim,  :D  is that better  :rofl:

and to top it off my mate across the road just gave me some nice revell handle bars for my MTB  :ahhh

i rode to work on it last night and its perfect, and i agree mate people are nuts, this is around £300 worth of wheel, people are crazy and just throw anything away, we live in a disposable world, although lucky for me  :tu:

Thanks Dunc.  Unfortunately I had about half an hour to myself in two days of flippin' hard work, but it was certainly a nice area that I haven't been to since I was 11.

Hah! I didn't know where Lochranza was (didn't know where Arras was either) :-[ so I google earthed it. I think I can see that stone fort in your last picture Gareth! :) Is it right there on the south shore of the bay? :)

Locals also maintain that it's the inspiration for the Tintin adventure: 'Tintin and the Black Island'.  Though how they come to that I've no idea.
