Get a AAA LED flashlight paired with a SwissTool and a small Leather Pouch! This is a great way to carry a pocket knifeand LED Flashlight together conveniently. [/quote]

I don't think an actual SwissTool comes with that set... I think they are referring to the Tinker as a "swisstool."

If they are it's fraud.  They specifically mentioned SwissTool and left out a pic. Clearly deceptive advertising.

Along with FredKJ, I suspect the seller is offering a Victorinox Tinker instead of the pliers-type SwissTool multitool.   From the Amazon.com description:

Has anyone thought to contact the seller and ask?

I have and Amazon account so I sent off the question about the add. I will post the answer here if I get one.

As a side note I want to thank everybody here for their eagle eyed attention for sales. :drink: I've got some killer deals off the net from watching these boards.

It looks legit to me - a Tinker & a flashlight with combo pouch.  Go to the DataVision site here:

http://www.datavis.com/cgi-bin/search.exe?key=victorinox+combo&x=0&y=0

& you can choose from the rubber flashlight or an aluminum one.

Walmart has the same thing here for $32.98:

It come across as a Swisstool though, and not a Tinker.

Maybe they added "SwissTool" in order for it to show up when someone does a search for "Swisstool"

Probably- it seems a little opportunistic to me.  Adding a few extra keywords so more folks stumble across it is one thing, but making it seem like there's a much more expensive item involved will get more folks to buy it.  Good initially, but maybe not worth it with the amount of people you will piss off as a result.

A brick and mortar store wouldn't get away with something like that.

I just think they aren't all that savvy to names & they're calling all Vics SwissTools.  Even Vic calls all their SAKs "Multi-Tools".

Well I did indeed get and answer from the vendor. As suspected the only items you will receive if ordering will be the Tinker, flashlight and pouch to carry both, no SwissTool. I did not take him to task for false advertisement, but they should know better.

I probably would have taken him to task.

It is possible that the guy does not know that SwissTool is a name of the product. He probably meant "swiss tool", which Tinker arguably is. He should correct his listing though, no question about that.
