If there was only a way to sneak in a diamond-coated file ...

Why don't all Leatherman files (and Victorinox Swisstools, Spirits) come standard with a diamond coated side? I see little purpose for both sides of the file being basically the same thing. Diamond coated is rather useful.

Diamond coated is rather useful. When we asked Leatherman this they said that there research suggested Tradesman preferred their heavy duty MTs to have LM's standard file to the diamond file hence it not being available on the SuperTool 300 , Rebar etc . I love the diamond file , I suspect it may well come down to a warranty issue as the diamond file if abused will wear out a lot quicker than the standard file
