Hi guys.
I came across the Original Super Tool and as a total mt junkie I grabbed it from the owner as I never had one of those. I think I'm pretty done playing with it and I'm considering my options. It's in almost new condition as it was forgotten in someones van and it's still factory sharp. The date codes are a bit weird as they are different on both arms (1295 and 0596), could it be a warranty replacement from Leatherman refurbished from two different tools?

Anyway, does this Original Super Tool have a collectable status yet and I should look for a collector? Do I just use it and if it breaks warranty replace it for ST300? What is the current value on this tool? It was fun to check out where Leatherman tool used to be but I'm sticking with my Recharge and Surge II. I'm in UK by the way. Thank you for any advice and thoughts.

Nice OG Matt :like: it is likely not a refurb as datecodes range differently like that across all models :tu: They are a great MT and if it were me I would carry and use it a lot because they are still very usable with a very bulletproof design :like:

I know and I'm loving the fit and finish on this mt. And the buttery smooth opening. But like I said I'm already covered with my Recharge and new Surge so wanted to know does it have any collector value.

Yes, they are collectable but finding the right person will depend upon what you are wanting out of it and they are still fairly easy to get hold of so value is all across the board with some going on the low end and some going on the higher end :salute:

ok, it's a Marlboro Miles (coupons) one from? early 1990's? PST, No stamps except, Leatherman r Tool, trade mark 1325473, Portland, Or. There is a faint Marlboro 'M' on the obverse. Tools inside. Videos available on the tube thing.
Back then we were dumb enough to smoke. I didn't care about the outdoor rewards, so I saved 'miles' from mine or other's cig packs and did sophomoric stunts for my buddy to find them.
He was good enough to use some to gift me one.
I thought it was for working with "Leather" lol, which is why I didn't use it alot, it and sheath are in excellent condition.
I can't belt carry in NYC unless a tradesman and I'm not, so it stays in great condition in the knife draw- join Knife Rights btw.  :salute:
