UK 2008 meetup
on: December 23, 2007, 06:32:07 PM
Just wondered what you Brit guys thought about a meetup in the new year ? Maybe a quite hotel and a meal and lots of  :drink:  and multitools .
Post your thoughts and location ideas in this thread .

EDIT -  16 Feb 08

I've made this thread a sticky now as it really looks like this is going to happen  :D
These are links to the Tool's for the UK meet up thread
http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,3810.0.html

And  Uk 08 Meet camping thread.
http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,3702.0.html

Any communications about date and venue to be done via PM or email to either

Micky d
Benner
or myself .

Thanks

Duncan

Well I am definitely up for it!  As for a location, I'm thinking somewhere central to all those who are interested in coming.
I'm back!!

I have a location in mind  ;)  Just depends on the other members and their location .
Of course whats in my mind can be changed to suit at any time . And no its not my local  ::)  ( Although I'd have no objections  ;)  )

Well if im right in thinking most UK members are down south  ( I know Jock1 isnt , but thats why things could change ) then maybe Southwold http://www.southwold.info/southwold-accommodation/hotels.asp. If done in march time then it would be cheap and quite  ;) But this is no way set in stone and is only off the top of my head .

Yes the more people that post on here with an interest will decide where it will be held . But please when posting state your location or the location where you would like it to be held .

I'd be up for a meet but I've no idea where I'll be in March - found out today there's a chance I could get back to Zummerrzettt in the spring. Don't tell SWMBO! ;)

Of course, as there are three of us in Kent at least, it makes sense that everyone else should come to us :pok: I get scared every time I have to go north of the Thames :o

As far as I'm concerned the north-south divide is a line running from Dartford to Bristol :D

Me northern, well compared to most of you! Depends on when in march you had planned to how north i'll be. Before the 14th i'm in loughborough and after that it would be Northallerton level of northern-ness.

It might be easier if people said when they can't do and we go from there.

Hypothetically,if a Yank showed up,would he be welcome? Even if he didn't know the secret handshake, and his command of English was a tad suspect? :D

Well I am up for whenever really so I haven't voted.

As Mike can't really do weekends, is everyone else in a position to be able to book a couple of days off work mid week?  That's fine by me.

Yes I can take time off work just as long as I give plenty of notice .
