There are some really unique pieces there.  I wonder what it's like to EDC a Zilla tool?

I have done it for a short half week once in the Summer time.

I found it to be a very tough and capable MT, only let down by its long size which makes it uncomfortable hanging off a belt in its sheath.

On the plus side, while researching Swiss+Tech just to be sure I didn't fumble the naming, I found out they have added new models to their lineup. In the procurement process right now.  :D

The length is what would worry me too.  I don't think I would like a multi that is that long.

The Zilla Jr is the better sized model for comfort and ease of carry.

I have been thinking about getting one, but I think a new wave is in order first.  There are just too many tools for me to buy!

Isn't that the truth.

I started out collecting MTs to honour my late father's love of MTs. He was a tradesman, and his adage was to never leave home without a knife. When MTs came out, he jumped aboard that wagon and never looked back.

Oddly enough, when I gathered all of his MTs together, I was amazed that he had so many. I figured I should start adding to the nice, and at that time...large MT collection. I found this web site trying to find some back history on a few of his pieces. This of course opened the door. At the time of discovering this site, I had assumed Leatherman only had 10 models tops. I lurked on here for a year before joining up. I figure I am just at the point where all I need to do is keep up with the new models coming in each year, but alas, I keep finding new items, and with my increased knowledge, keep searching for items I didn't know existed previously.

You know, come to think of it, it is rather surprising at the wealth and breath of model designs out there, let alone the numbers of manufacturers.

Well good job keeping up chako. I think I'm not alone when I say I love reading threads about your collection (and pics!).

That's actually a really cool reason to start collecting.   :salute:
