Velcro Patches
on: September 27, 2011, 06:47:33 PM
I know that it's been discussed before, but...

When are we going to be able to purchase from a selection of different Velcro MultiTool.Org patches at the MT.O store?

Travis will probably be around shortly to respond to this properly.  I know he's working on a number of different things.

I think we can pretty much guarantee that this will happen.  When, I can't say, but I am certain it will happen in the not too distant future.

He just replied to a PM I sent him, so he's active.  I don't know if he's seen this thread, though.

Sorry, I was responding for him.  Travis is pretty far out in the sticks and has terrible dial up at home so he normally surfs at work.  Since he works at a university, he's been pretty busy lately and I'm not sure he's had the time to keep up on all the threads.

I have just sent him the link and I'm certain he'll check in as soon as he can.

Good evening, All.

I assure you I haven't been ignoring the discussion of patches.  Grant has kept me up to speed.  Without going into great and boring detail, the patches are being researched.  Due to some significant recent expenses, we do not have the funds available to purchase patches.  I anticipate the funds will become available shortly.  Once the Style PS order arrives and those items have been distributed, I plan to be ready to order patches.

There will not be a "selection" from which to choose, initially.  We will offer one patch style.  There is a minimum quantity required for purchase and we will have to meet that.  If the patches are popular and sell, we may consider developing another style.

How can you help get patches here more quickly?  Go to The Multitool.org store and purchase some of the items currently for sale.  The faster our available funds build up, the sooner we can order patches.

There are several multitools and knives available, all of which would make great gifts for yourself or someone else.  Every penny generated by The MTO Store goes right back into it, including purchasing new stock.

Anyone who has further questions regarding patches or any other items for The MTO Store is welcomed to send me a PM.  While I do not post often due to work obligations, I do check PM's and reply ASAP.

Perhaps there could be a patch "pre-order" at the MT.O store. I for one, would quickly put my money where my mouth is (or text is, as it were).

Travis and I have spoke about this and he assures me all is well. He is looking into several options and companies trying to get the best deal and quality. He just said it may take time and just use edcsource as much as possible because this is how it gets funded. :tu: Travis!

Travis has been on the promo industry for years and has many contacts at a lot of different countries, so you'd be best to ask him directly about it.  One look at his site at www.hand2handpromo.com and you'll see how many different things he has access to.

No. It's not a industrial machine. But like everything I own it has been modded to suit my needs. It more like an embroidery machine with hacked software so I can do what I want it too. However I would not make one that has the MTO logo on it for legal and personal reasons. I would rather buy one here :D

Well of course :tu:, but having the opportunity to make your own patches is kinda cool.. 8)
But I'll probably end up making a "LM Wingman Campaign Sux" or something like that..  ::) :D
