I understand those clips may not be all that strong, so the last picture might not be a reliable way to actually carry a knife. I has some glow pictures, but do not see them at the moment. The StayGlow knife scale material does glow very well though and if they have been exposed to light for a while, will glow for several hour through the night. The problem of course is that unless it is being carried in something clear or otherwise exposed to light, as opposed to a dark pocket, it is not getting charged.

I don't have any pics handy, but I've EDCd a StayGlow Climber for several years.  I really like the color.

Strangely, last time I bought any they were much cheaper to get from Australia than local.  Weird I know.

That was when we were allowed to buy SAKs on ebay though. These days I'd just send a message to FelineVet and grab that way.

I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

StayGlow Climber...

Just for reference, back in 2008, I had my wife's friend (a chemist) take a look at the StayGlow scales. I wanted to know the life expectancy. They don't lose a tiny bit of life after each charge; they gradually deteriorate whether they're being used or not. The StayGlow's half-life should be about 27 years. I only have the one model, so I don't have anything to compare it to.

I've a few of them. I bought 4 Stayglow Huntsmen, 4 Stayglow Climbers, and 4 Stayglow Tinkers, and one Classic SD. I gave a couple of the Huntsmen and the Classic away to relatives. I think I've still got the rest tucked away in the safe. Sorry I've no pics of them at the moment. I do like the Stayglow but the Alox seems to get EDC'd more.

Small collection of SAK's, (but growing rapidly. :D) not so fast at this time. :( And the most important of all: Ze Zuper Zoldier by Steve!  :ahhh

Do they give off a lot of light or just a soft glow? Like maybe as a night light in a tent.
