Musical Skeletool Blades.
on: October 04, 2011, 07:33:16 PM
Ive had a skeletool for about a year now and it's a great tool when I don't want to carry a lot.

At a recent trip to a flea market, there was a guy selling brand new Freestyle CXs for $30. So, I bit an bought one and his bit kits ($15!). It had the coveted 154cm PE blade.

I didn't want to go and stick the PE on my skele because I REALLY wanted a Skele CX. So off to eBay.

4 months later, I picked up a used Skele CX for $45 and it showed up today.

Then the swap began. Since I almost never carry the freestyle, I decided the 420hc CE should go there (from SS Skele) and then the 154 cm PE will go into the Skele CX and the CE 154cm would be in the SS Skele.

I simultaneously had 3 tools open on my bench and thanks to my DIY MT operating table, it was no problem.

Now I am super happy with the combination. I will carry the Skele CX over the SS on most days and now I have even more reason :)

I opened this thread expecting to see you playing a song on a row of skeletool blades with xylophone hammers. I am disappointed.   ;) :pok:

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that.   :P

I thought the new skele cx's came with the 154 cm PE anyways...?  It took me some work to track down one of the original models with my preferred CE
