PST auction WARNING!
on: October 06, 2011, 06:57:48 PM
I`d advice any potential bidders to stay clear of this auction. The tool pictured for auction is not the tool the seller has. I won that tool on the 10-03-11 from another seller. I now have it in my possession. I contacted the seller yesterday and he said he`d change the pic but has not done so. I have also contacted the original seller of this tool that his pic had been stolen and being used in another auction. The PST pictured is a very rare variation of the PST and the bids reflect that. I do not know what PST the seller has but it is not the one pictured.
What? Enablers! Are you serrrrious? Where? I dont see any.

David,

Thanks for the info, I am watching that auction and I thought it looked like the variation # 6 in Bob's PST chronology sticky.

I sure hope the eventual buyer knows the differences in the tools and does not spend some long coin on a pedestrian PST.

Bruce

Bruce, yes its a #6 variation in Bobs chronology thread. When this tool poped up last week I thought it would be nice to have an extra one as I only thought I had one like it. But after digging around in the tool box it seems I have four of this variation now.   Maybe I need to dig around a little more and see what else is in there.   :D  I proably need to figure out which extras to let loose and thin the herd a little.   :)  The bad news is two of the people I out bid last monday to win this tool are now bidding on the above auction. They have also bid a lot more than they did in the last auction. Its already well past what I paid for it.

Hi David,

I bought one of these a few weeks ago and was real excited to have it until I put it in the tool box next to one just like it!  I thought variation 6 was one of the harder to find variations but it seems I have at least 2 of them now.

I am trying to collect all the variations of the PST...I don't know if I will ever find one of the first 500 but that won't stop me from trying.

I also sent a question to the seller asking if the picture was of the actual item with no response yet.  Hopefully the winning bidder will know what to look for on the tool when it arrives.

Thanks again for posting the warning....if you could have just convinced me to stay away from the Damascus Wave tonight......

Bruce

I have thought the same thing till I found three more in the tool box for a total of four. I guess they are not as rare as we thought. I have a riveted, large font one like it also. It`s the only one like it I`ve ever seen. There is one riveted variation I`m after and have seen two of them in three years and missed both of them. The hunt continues. I hope you post some pics of that Damascus Wave they are so   8)   :tu:
