Pocket/Belt clip question

Does anyone actually use the clip on a MT to attach it to your belt. Also if so do you attach it to the outside or wear it between your belt and pants?

Alright thanks. The reason I ask is because I cannot clip a MT in my pocket anymore and am looking for other options to carry a full size MT besides a sheath.

I would never clip to the belt , just about guarrantees a lost tool . I only clip inside the front pocket , or IWB . Backpocket clipping is also a badf idea .

Yep even though they are called belt clip at times I'd never use them as such, not nearly secure enough. As far as actually clip to pocket I only do it with light tools like skeletool, others are to heavy and bulky.

I only do that to my skeletool. The others fling open because of the position of the clip. I suppose the MUT would be a good choice for this tool since it has that retaining clip.

I've always thought about making a retaining clip to hold the tool closed (mostly on the charge/wave/surge series).

Whaaaaat? I've been clipping my wave/charge in my back pocket next to my wallet for years and not a problem. I have a little paracord loop on the clip so I can pull it out really easy. No problems here.

Does the clip tear up your seat in your car?

nope.

LM pocket clip is very rounded and smooth. I haven't had any problem with it. I also keep it on the outside, right back pocket.

Are you saying you carry the tool on the outside of your pocket? Does it bother you when you are sitting?

Nono. Sorry. I carry it on the inside of my pocket, but on outside (of my body) edge of the pocket. It rides next to my wallet, a County Comm LA wallet.

OOOO alright. I might give it a try. It seems like ti would be uncomfortable to sit on unless it is as thin if not thinner than your wallet.

I'm not much for having things hanging off my belt. It might work though. I guess I will never know until I try.  :tu:
