So, what's so lovely about it then?! I need someone to sell me on Gerbers
Chrissy have you never handled one ?
I have four non-locking Gerbers in the collection. Two of them are old-school Mr. Pinchy types. They have the flick out pliers you expect from a Gerber, but they bite! My first one of that type got me within 15 minutes of opening the package. Another non-locking Gerber is the MPT, which is a butterfly type tool. The fourth is the Balance, which has pliers that slide out, but not with a flick of the wrist. You use a thumb operated slide to deploy them. I just got the Balance yesterday, but I've been playing with it and have to say I do like it. The slide is just as addicting to operate mindlessly as the flick out pliers. There's something soothing about just fidgeting with a slidey Gerber, despite what people annoyed by the sound might think.....
