I like the Core. I use mine a lot. I didn't think I'd like it as much as my Gerber because I can open the Gerber with one hand. Recently, I've been able to open my Core with one hand, kind of like a bali-song knife. It took some practice, though. I was surprised to not see the Core on the list of multi-tools for Leatherman. I realize there is nothing special about it, but still.....

Do you mean in the review section on the main site?  It would be nice if someone would submit a review of it- as you can see from this topic, I don;t have one and so I can't write about it!

There is an "interesting" ::) review of the core on Bladeforums at the moment which is causing quite a bit of debate.
I'd take it with a big pinch of salt, although everyones entitled to an opinion.
But Biggiep makes Dunc look like the founder member of the Leatherman fan club. ;)
(No Offense meant Dunc I know you are Swisstool to the CORE!!!) no pun intended!

I have a Core as my EDC, which replaced a Supertool 200, yea its a bit bigger but I knew that when I bought it, overall I have no complaints.
I will try (no Promises) to post a review shortly.

Stay Safe

 Yep, on the main site.
I read about you going back and forth about buying one. You sure have quite the collection of tools. I'm new to the whole muli-tool thing. My "review" would be short and sweet and biased, I'm afraid. Not much of a writer here (duh  ;))

I think this is a record... I still don't have one!

Who is proud of me, and who is disapointed? :P

Is there a Target store local to you?  The Core is on sale for $40 in stores.  The Surge is on sale for $60 online and in stores.

Unfortunately, no Targets in Canada.

Bummer.  I took a good hard look at the Core and Surge yesterday and then walked away.  A couple of Gerbers and Victorinox knives were also on sale.  I somehow managed to only buy what was on the shopping list.  But considering the fact that I've bought six multi-tools in the last two weeks, I guess I really haven't shown that much self control.
