Another option, visit Home Depot.  They have the Sidekick (wingman's brother) for $30 and it is packaged with a sheath. The. You could have a sheath and a choice every morning of which tool to carry that day.

PS: You are a lucky man to have a wife with an eye for MT and bargains.

What sheath is the Sidekick coming with these days?  Is it still the suede slip sheath with no belt loop?

I purchased the Ozark Trail multi-tool at Walmart for less than $4 only because of the nice hard boxed nylon sheath that comes with it and it fits the Wingman and Sidekick like a glove.

That sheath looks a lot better than the tool you got with it. :D  Certainly worth $4 I'd say.

Here's the picture from Wal-Mart of the $3.87 tool with sheath.  The sheath does look like it is better than the tool.  I probably would buy it just for the sheath and pitch the tool. Or send it to Chako, he likes that sort of thing.

Damn, they must run on very tight margin to sell at that price

I read your thread and the natural consequence took place: Got my Wingman today. Nice tool. Light, great scissors, comfortable, good looking.
Surge for tough duties, Juice CS4 when only a small, discrete tool is suitable for the occasion, and the beautiful Wingman for preparedness the rest of the time.

I know, is the acute disseminated multitools desease which makes me feel "those are all the tools you need" by now, but soon will make me fell "you need one more for this other type or situations"

I'll stay in control with these three. I am quite sure I won't find in my country a good enough deal as to make me buy another one.

The Wingman has over 2,000 reviews on Amazon and a rating of 4.6 out 5 stars. The Sidekick has over 1,000 reviews and an average of 4.7 stars out of 5. Seems like these tool are a big hit for Leatherman and have a lot of users who are satisfied.

Ah i wouldnt call that play Its normal it just the metal being able to move most tools have alittle movement like that in the handels when closed wave doesnt tho because of the metal being .."folded" to create the blade slots while the wingman just has an extra piece of metal attatched by the pivots

As long as there isnt play when the tool is open Its normal :)

Mine does have the same play. I have had it for several months and use it quite often and this play remains the same since I bought it. It happens only at the closed position but when the pliers is deployed everything fits perfectly.
I haven't tried to do anything to fix it. I live far away from any leatherman dealer and to me this play isn't enough as to sending it out and waiting for it to get back.
