My new wallet
on: October 23, 2011, 02:53:16 PM
I finally dumped my bright red Crumpler wallet, and got something new. A "Matt" wallet made by Aunts and Uncles. Most of you might not be familiar with this brand, it is kind of the German version of Saddleback. Really nice, sturdy leather, lots of cardslots and a nice vintage look.

Still, it is too large to be carried in suit pants, but I guess I will get a second, smaller wallet for these occasions.

I always liked experimenting with diferent kinds of wallets. And a new name to add to the search raster is always nice. Especially an european one.

Oh, and ...

:D

We should add this to the standard smileys. :pok:

OK mates here is my weekend load. On workdays I carry less blades, but I did some outdoor activity today and wanted a hard working knife and a smaller one to cut food. But OK, 7 blades is a little too much  :D

remind me of what the big folder is, I think I've seen you put pics of it up before. looks pretty cool. I wish Germany's knife laws were as relaxed as Austria's.

We have such similar gear preferences it's scary.  :D Juice SC2, Wenger 17, IMCO Streamline,... All my favorites.

About the IMCO, I was in Wiena a couple of months ago, went through about half a dozen tobacco shops, souvenir stores that carried lighters asking about Imco lighters. They all looked at me like I was mad. No one had a clue what I was talking about. (and I speak german perfectly) I would have thought they would make excellent souvenirs.

The large blade is a Pro Hunter by FOX, made in Italy. A really nice, sturdy folder. The smaller one is a Buck Stockman 371.
