Question on serrated blades on SAK
on: December 09, 2011, 04:31:03 PM
Hi mates.

While I really like Vics and Wengers for EDC, I even like serrated blades in my daily setup. I always carry more than one blade, so I'd love to have a more useful variation than just many straight edges.

When I carry my Swiss Tool Spirit or my LM Juice KF4 I use the SE quite often. I even have some serrated Spydercos like a Police or a Ladybug I often carry. But when I carry my usual office EDC, I miss a serrated blade. I usually carry a SAK, a Juice SC2 and maybe a small folder, but all of the blades are straight. So, here is my question:

I did not find a list of serrated blades on SAK. I own a Swiss Cheese Tool and a Rescue Tool, but those two are the only serrated edge Vics I know of. I know Wenger has some serrated blade models, but could not find a list of them to choose a new EDC SAK. Please, tell me all SAK with serrated blades you know of.

Thanks
Woz

I think Victorinox still offers the Picnik kit that includes a serrated 91mm Vic; I don't think serrated 91mm SAKs are still made, though.  The Weekender is one such model of a 91mm serrated Vic; also the mountain-named Vics were serrated, too. :)

And of course a lot of 111mm models have a serrated blade. And you may be able to find a serrated Recruit which is of course 84mm :)
