...
My knife, carbon steel, with the red shield/white cross inlay has WENGER DELMONT with 3 faces logo on both the small and large blades which are in separate layers; both pivot at the top of the knife.  It has an interesting imprint on the bottom scale of some insect in an oval, hard to see now.

It's interesting that Wenger's 100 year anniversary book does not mention this shield.

Pictures when I have more time.

Three quick pictures of this interesting knife.  I'm guessing this model would fall into their early Farmer/Peasant line.

Outstanding score!  :tu:

Thanks, that makes sense; the English word would be Auger, and explains why on some old knives it's designed more like a drill-bit than a course screw thread.

Yes the handles applear to be a black fiber.

After the heavy use this knife has seen the saw layer still snaps shut with a nice sound.  The other layers need some cleaning, but I want to be careful because of the old scales.  None of the tools are broken which I think is amazing.  Take a look at the size of that nail nick on the main blade.

When I find an old knife like yours, I send it in a small workshop near the Swiss border, there is a craftsman who fully dismounts it, exchange broken parts, put new handles, etc.
At the end, the knife is like a new one with genine parts or redo parts as guenine.

For example, he repaired me an old Victorinox 234k model  (1942's) and he gaves me all photos step by step (here only 3 photos, just to see what he's able to do) :

The auger is cool! Although with vic's current reamer there is no need for one. (At least not on vic knives on wengers it could be useful)

Some of the latest SAKs:

Si with bail from 1980 and a 1987 Professional line + a nice embossed in silver - a Trout from the sportsman presentation most likely. This is from the early 80s. I had this before with pad print.

Just got a '90 100 Years Anniversary Wenger Soldat that came without the special box for this model, but in a beat up generic Wenger Swiss Soldiers Knife box with a curious model # on the flap:

16521

At SakWiki (http://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Wenger+Soldat+1961+-+Standard+Issue) closest listed is:

16520 Wenger US: retail market

Anyone know what's model number 16521 and if it matches this 100 Years Anniversary model?

Thanks

If anyone knows if the box and model number can match this 100 Years Anniversary '90 SI, please let me know.

With it I got a '81 Soldat which upon closest inspection appears unused :)

Nice!

Today i got this Pathfinder with embossed icon(most likely from the mid 80s), the Compass is broken, that is the only negative. I got the Pathfinder with pad print also and it is interesting, there isnt so many Wenger`s with a compass. Just a few i have seen until now.

Hello!
Here is my latest one: a Wenger "Whistle" sold by Eddie Bauer.
I'm also including a picture of the standard 1 92 71 model.
The only differences between the two are the Eddie Bauer logo on the front scale and the "Whistle" inscription on the main blade.

Sorry for the delay.
here is, I think, the complete set "Footballeur/Soccer"
First picture is model 1 92 32
Second is model 1 92 30 (same model as shown by North Man)
Last picture is model 1 92 31 (which adds scissors)
I was planning to add them to the wiki anyway.

Very nice set. :tu: Will you be adding separate pages or combining them all under the Soccer page listed as different models? Do they have different names or are they all sold as Soccer but with different model numbers?

Nice collection.  Separate pages on the wiki.  We'll have to distinguish them with their model number I think for now.  We have a similar issue with the Shredder, and the Biker as well, so maybe this is very common for the entire sports series.   Maybe use the last segment of the model number for disambiguation like Wenger started doing in recent years (E.g. Soccer 30, Soccer 31 etc.).

I'll check later if you've uploaded them.

Hm, maybe the best would be to list them in the index as Soccer Series, Shredder Series, ...  as we have with the Evo and Juniors, and then "Model" 32, "Model" 31, ... based on the identifiers.

Great looking set.  :tu:

Listing them under 'Soccer' in the SAKwiki is probably the way to go. Also need to do something similar with the whistles (Survivor/Signal) and compass (North Cape/Bardane)

Yes, I think too that it would be better to list them in the index, but have them all displayed under the "soccer" page.
Perhaps adding the "Footballer" name near the word "soccer", as the "soccer" word is really used only in the USA.
This is something I had been thinking about.
Despite, for example, the time I spent creating the 1.23.13 page
http://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Wenger+1.23.13
I think it would also be better to show this variant only in the "Major" page.
If we were going to create single pages for all the Wenger models which, for example, replace the nail file with a small blade or corkscrew with phillips, there would probably be too many pages, and the wiki could be too confusing.
What do you think?

P.S. Uploading the pictures in the wiki now.

I think all models with different number of layers should have their own page. I was thinking along these lines.

Just click the ? if when creating the page, the linking to the specific tool layer number pages is easy after we have the page created.
