Thanks, that makes sense; the English word would be Auger, and explains why on some old knives it's designed more like a drill-bit than a course screw thread.Yes the handles applear to be a black fiber. After the heavy use this knife has seen the saw layer still snaps shut with a nice sound. The other layers need some cleaning, but I want to be careful because of the old scales. We'll have to distinguish them with their model number I think for now. We have a similar issue with the Shredder, and the Biker as well, so maybe this is very common for the entire sports series. Maybe use the last segment of the model number for disambiguation like Wenger started doing in recent years (E.g. Soccer 30, Soccer 31 etc.). I'll check later if you've uploaded them.
