Best 2013 deal for me.....€28,10 + shipment  :D
Ok shipping was €17, but still pretty cheap.
Only the micro tools show minimal wear.
It was basically a combination of: bad wording/description + bad images +  seller didn't know what he had.
Sometimes you get lucky, but unfortunately it happens only few times a year.
That's a very fine catch.

Another set that needs a listing in the Wenger sets is the Porsches. However it deserves better photos that I can take. Do we have some already, or can some one provide them?  :pok:

Actually 700th anniversary, in 1991. Its labeled 'Anniversary' in a catalog page I have copied. Unfortunately it doesn't list a model number. One of a half-dozen knives Wenger did for that occasion.

Sorry it's the 700th anniversary of the Helvetic Confederation (Rütli oath) and not 200th

see Wikipedia :

...After the establishment of the federal state, the Rütli oath became associated with the Swiss Federal Charter, a document dated to 1291...

...Switzerland comprises four main linguistic and cultural regions: German, French, Italian and the Romansh-speaking valleys. Therefore the Swiss, although predominantly German-speaking, do not form a nation in the sense of a common ethnic or linguistic identity; rather, the strong sense of identity and community is founded on a common historical background, shared values such as federalism and direct democracy,[12] and Alpine symbolism.[13] The establishment of the Swiss Confederation is traditionally dated to 1 August 1291, which is celebrated annually as Swiss National Day...

A couple of pieces of Wenger clean-up data:

Under the Skier, the version without the metal file has a number of 1.34.03. Names I have for it include: Mountain/Ski, Mountain, and Skiloper (from the 1980s Norwegian catalog).

Under Survivor, there's a version that has a small nailfile in place of the small clip blade. It has a number of 1.68.02.

Karl,
there are more differences for the Survivor.
Model 1.68.02 has nail file (as you said), but also plain, no locking, main blade, metal file instead of the wood saw, no key ring.
Also model 1.92.73 is very similar to 1.68.02, but has long keychain and replaces the carabiner clip with the universal wrench.
I was planning to add those two to the Survivor page, but I think I'm still at letter "M" or so on the list.
Here are a couple of pictures I took for my EDCsource listings

Maybe put this with the 'Highlander with Choke Tube Tool'.

----------------------------

Cabela's with Choke Tube Tool (actual name and model number unknown).

A special model for Cabela's. It basically adds a pliers to the standard Highlander with Choke Tube Tool. It also differs from that model in having bright polished rather than matte blades; and solid green handles with Cabela's name on them, rather than camouflage handles.

Top blades : Main blade, small clip blade, choke tube tool, pliers, can opener, bottle opener/screw driver.

Bottom blades : Phillips screwdriver, awl.

No toothpick or tweezers; no key ring.

Alpine Club Switzerland is a Swiss maker and retailer of outdoor clothing and equipment. It is not to be confused with the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC-CAS), which is a Swiss mountaineering club that operates a series of mountain huts.

This knife is a special model done for Alpine Club Switzerland, and has a unique set of tools. The knife has black Evo handles that feature the company logo. The company web site did not list any special name for this model. Its catalog number is #116109302BTS.

Top blades: Main clip blade (similar to SwissBucks), nail file, scissors, saw, swing-out compass w/ruler, snap shackle, short phillips screw driver, can opener, bottle opener/screw driver.

Bottom blades :Corkscrew, awl.

Has toothpick and tweezers, key ring.

I have both the SAC EvoWoods. Pretty sure they're exclusive to SAC, but have no info on numbers. Thought I'd saved a printout for the files, but can't find it.
(Image removed from quote.)

Sorry to dig this one up but I was just checking the wiki for the SAC Evowood Cyclist and notised it isn't referenced there at all. Could someone who has one provide the model number/identifier for it so we can add it to the variations? Thanks.

These are special edition for the Swiss Alpine Club.

The shop unfortunately is only in German:
Ranger
And the small one, sorry I have no clue about Wenger models ;)

The Ranger is the RangerWood 161 and the 85mm is an SAC Evowood Cyclist. I'm searching for the numbers/identifiers these go by. ;)

Tomorrow afternoon I'm going by the shop, see if the guy has come up with any info on the Tactile 812.
To be honest, I'm not expecting much, meaning I'm not sure he'll have done any search but you never know. I may have to pick up a SI or two to give him an incentive :D

Those Wengers I got have instilled some appreciation into me. They are not as I remembered them. I might even get me a user. Hmm.
