The Junior 06 (EvoGrip S18 with rounded tip blade) is available in Germany.  I only saw it there a couple of weeks ago, so I'm not sure if it's available directly in other markets.

Not new, but I'm happy to finally get a set, after collecting almost all the models individually.  The box has some wear, and the number is nothing special, but nice to have the set even if I had to over pay for it.

I don't see too many pictures of this one, so I took a quick shot.

They look really good, quite chunky but compact at the same time.

The 85mm frame does help with that.  I pocket carry mine, and have had no problems at all.  Very useful tool set too.

Yes, that's it. We'll need a Page for it in the Junior series. I'll make one if no one beats me to it. :salute:

I think it would be better if Junior series had 1 page, and the knives just linked to their non Junior versions, seems a waste and more complicated to make a whole page just because they rounded the tip of the blade.  That's really a variation as it does not add or remove any tools.  I like trying to simplify all these 'models'.  Of course if there is a Junior without a counterpart then it would get it's own page.

True for the simple models, but on something like the 18 it gets more complicated. We already have 7 versions there (12 variations ) on the evo alone, not counting Classic, Basic, Handyman, ... Just adding more to the same page gets confusing, hard to find and contraproductive. If you're new to SAKs and google search for a Wenger Junior 06 and get a link to some Evo 18, you won't even consider it. I think it's better to have more pages and link the similar ones than to overcrowd a single one. It's not like we have a lack of storage space in the wiki.

How should the Wiki handle the Delemont Collection? As a series under the Vic's?

That's a good question.  Since they cover various frame sizes it's a bit more challenging, but you can see there is already a disagreement on Series so this could get tricky.

We could just extend, the Vic frame-sizes, or make them almost like a new brand.  Whatever we do might need to change over time as Vic changes how they classify these models.  I would start slow with a Delemont Series listing page, and see where Vic is going to take this line.

Hopefully there will be a public catalog soon with a bit more precise information.  I notice the disclaimer on the bottom of the existing pages notes that digital manipulation is involved.  I'm just surprised what they showed at SHOT is not in the catalog, and the huge mistake on the Ranger reamers, the overlap in the blade and caplifter incorrect so they could show the stamp... obviously this was very rushed.

The Delemonts are basically an amalgamation of Wenger and Victorinox features. I'm planning to list them separately under that name in my spread sheet, to avoid confusion with the other two sets of knives, and to better keep track of which ones I have. Maybe we should do something similar in the wiki.

Yes, I was discussing with Nikola about this, and I think that keeping the Delémont series separated would be the best solution.

I think that also the JuniorWood 11 should be added (it was shown on the Herbertz catalog posted few pages back).

I also think that the current wiki 85mm index layout is fine and that having different pages for specific series would be easier for the reader.
For sure it took a lot of work by quite few people to implement all the series (Junior, Classic, Basic, Security) and it would be a pity if they were removed.

Yes, I'm for the separate index table for the Delémonts also. :salute: But maybe wait with till they start appearing so we have the real SAKs to base the pages on, the stock pictures are a bit ::) , too many mistakes.

Two Ranger with pruning blade. Ranger 73 Electrcian and Ranger 69

The Ranger 69 seems to be uncommon  ??? at least to me  ::)

(Image removed from quote.)

Nice!!

I'm guessing the 69 is basically just the 73 without the plier layer.

May I ask where you got it from?

I emailed a Wenger shop, they have never heard of it - but I'm assuming it is indeed  a genuine factory model.

You're a lucky guy :tu:

I have added a place holder in the Victorinox Menu on the right which I think reflects what most people think should be the initial organization, keeping the Delemont Collection as a special line.

I think it was a good idea.
Note that, while not used much on this forum, the Delémont name has the accent (') on the "e".
I think we should probably keep it on the wiki.

Carlo/basilio sent me 7 Wenger catalogs in PDF (2005,2006,2007,2009,2010,2012 and Herbertz 2013) and they have now been uploaded and available on the Wenger catalogs page. ICFT also added some a few weeks ago. Lots of new info there now. Thanks, guys.

They should be available for download for all registered wiki users. (There was a problem with permissions before) If you still don't have an account at the wiki this is a good reason to get one. ;) The security key is available per PM from either ICanFixThat, me or any of the moderators, we prefer not to post it in the open to avoid spammers. :salute:

Yes, thanks.
I had the 2008 catalog, but I downloaded it from the mulitool-museum website, and it has watermarks on every page, so I couldn't upload it.
There is still a big "gap" on european catalogs from the mid 90's to 2004. Hope I will be able to find more of them in the future.
..... now if we could see your Precise 1990 catalog .....

It's coming; I have little time for SAKs right now and I have several Vic catalogs waiting also.  For Wenger I have 1990 and 1999 from NA in print that need scanning.  I'll see what I can do.

Got mine yesterday. Very nicely done.

The pear wood is distinctly different from walnut, not just in grain but also in color and definitely cannot pass as a lighter tone walnut.

Photos spread over few posts due to the limit for the number of image attachments per post. Click on the thumbnails for the full size photos.
