Just picked up my third Wenger custom SAK.. First has carbon fiber scales, second copper scales, and last titanium scales. All are great for EDC.

Wow, these are nice!

I've s few Wengers but I carry my SwissChamp most of the time so no real need to carry one. 120mm line is interesting to me but hard to come by. For now I'm looking for security models to gift to my nephews, if I can convince their parents.

Here are a few you won't see very often!

Evolution 63, the Wenger version of the single layer Waiter:

The EvoGrip 64 doesn't even have an entry in SAKWiki! Wenger's version of the mythical single layer Apprentice, and apparently just as mythical. Got several of these from the Ukraine.

The MTO 7th Anniversary EvoGrip 11.x Blackout

The Evolution 28 which was continued by Victorinox in Vic livery. It is directly descended from the Classic 28 that went by the Champ name as well. The closest Victorinox model is the Champion.

Its size makes it more difficult to use than Vic's, but it does work. Forgive the graininess as I used the cell phone which was far, far less than optimal in resolving power for this macro. I do wish Vic had done something about them when they implemented the Vic can opener, awl, toothpick and tweezers in the Delemont SAKs.

Are Wenger and Victorinox one and the same now? Quality should be even then shouldn't it? Wenger was always seen as the poor relation when I was a kid, I don't know why.  I would like to own a pre Victorinox Wenger to see what they are like but can't seem to find one. I have always had Victorinox and been happy though have looked at Victorinox Delamonts which I guess are Wengers. I think I was told by my grandad as a kid that Wenger were the NCO knives and Victorinox the commissioned officers lol.

lol.  Seems like most agree that Wenger isn't up to Vic's quality in general.  Victorinox absorbed Wenger after Wenger got into financial trouble several years ago, made some changes but a lot of the tools (ie blade, scissors, caplifter) are still the same.   You can easily find used Wengers on eBay.

It's funny, when I was a kid I was always bummed when a store's Swiss Army Knife section only had Wengers.  I remember asking my dad about it, I don't really remember what he said but I do remember saying that Wengers are Swiss Army Knives too.... he always bought Victorinox for me though, but did get my brother a Wenger Trout.

These days I just love carrying a Wenger SI and a few 85mm, but not too often.

The best Wengers ever made were produced after Vic bought them.  Vic quality and Wenger innovation in full flower.

I am still so tempted by the Uli Steck... if only they weren't so darned expensive! (and impractical!)
