I don’t know why, but lately I’ve been picking up several Wengers. I really have no desire for any other Vic’s, but the older Wengers are really catching my eye!!!

Nothing to add really other than I really like Wenger blade.  I think I can say I might just prefer it to Vics.   Not much of a fan of the can opener but I do like how they stow the T&T.   Any reason why Wenger uses the dangly chain with split ring?  I like it.

Whistle while you work??  Not me, I’m retired......😛  From left to right......Survivor, Matterhorn (courtesy of FoBo) and the Whistle.  At the bottom is Vic’s version of the whistle, a bit morre compact but not as loud.  The Wengers are very loud and seem to scare everything; horses, cows, bulls, my dogs and cat, even the hummingbirds......

Nice - I love the different whistle-models. Here in Europe the serrated versions are very hard to get.
I have the „survivor“ and the „whistle“ with the PE.

Cool stuff Boonies

Thanks CeHo.....I am enjoying the whistle models myself.  The serrated versions seems a little harder to find here too, but they are my favorite so I look for them.  I always make sure I have a serrated edge on me in one form or another.

Yep, and if I use all 3 at the same time they can hear me at 3 times the distance right?  (Just trying to justify carrying all 3 at the same time........).

I'm a Wenger fan, big-time!  Here's a pic of my Swiss Buck [Wenger], with my Boker Camp jack in stag.

"Those who do evil to others:  the killers, the rapists, psychos, sadists.  Will come to know me well.  Frank Castle is dead!  Call me . . . The Punisher."

"Out of the night comes a man who saves lives at the risk of his own:
Once a circus performer, an aerialist who refused the net...
Once a cat burglar, a master among jewel thieves...
And now, a professional bodyguard - primitive, savage, in love with danger."  - T.H.E CAT

I've been looking at Wenger again.  I have to say, I really prefer their blades to Vics.  I also find the cut out for the backside awl a much smarter design.  What I am not a fan of is their can opener.  Vic for me is the best.  I like how some omit the small blade in favor of the file.

I've been taking a hard look at the Evo 88 after getting my Pocket Tool Chest.  The PTC is becoming a real favorite.  My only complaint is more blade and opener needed/wanted.  The Classic 16/Evo 16 looks like a good ones to try but that can opener.

Victorinox - Wenger
Ford - Chevy
Smith & Wesson - Colt
No matter what it is...each has good points and some not so good points. In the end, when I will need it, it will be there. And will do the job better than I could without it.
