I have fallen into the Wenger pit, the engineer in me likes all of the neat gadgets I think. 😛  They have lots of different serrated blades so that’s a big plus for me and the 85mm format is also nice.  The can opener is not quite as good, but it works.  I always have a Spirit with me so I use the can opener on it.

The knife is from the 1920s I would say. Carbon steel.
The front scale showns the TAHARA machine, built from wenger for polishing cutlery. The back shows the original wenger facility, located in delemont.

What an improvement we have today. A big layer, using what, AAA batteries? Today it's tiny (and somewhat expensive) coin cell batteries, and the flashlight is either a part of the scale, or in a tool that fits in the same slot as the magnifier.

After carrying both, the Wenger just fits in my pocket better, so it's the one I usually take these days. I grew up with a Wenger knife but wanted to like the Victorinox more because of the better pliers and the larger blades... and I do love my Vic knives, but my go-to for daily carry is now a Swissbuck Taskmate II. It just fits in my pocket better than any Vic knife.

Charles.
